Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren three times per week, at minimum.
The Role:
The CCA Supplier Quality team ensures quality parts to deliver an outstanding customer experience! The Supplier Quality EngineeringTeam Leader has responsibility for the quality and production part approval process (PPAP) of second stage and accessories across all GM vehicles. Additionally, you will coach, mentor, and develop the team’s skills as we transform our culture by creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment within the team, holding themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GM's values and cultural behaviors.
What You’ll Do:
Lead, guide and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and establish a workload that focuses on identifying and solving quality tasks directly with Supplier Leadership, Engineering and Purchasing.
Handle various engineering projects, processes, budgets, and timelines while making any critical adjustments to ensure successful completion.
Provide technical leadership and develop work assignments that appropriately challenge team members.
Deliver guidance in maintaining and improving commodity standards and seek opportunities for improvement in product, process and people standards that will move reactive work into dedicated execution
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and ideas.
React to out of standard conditions within the supply base and provide leadership for immediate resolution.
Establish strategic direction by analyzing processes to enable effective and efficient approval of parts for sale.
Develop processes to ensure clear ownership, quick resolution, and solutions to get results.
Support other Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) teams including: accessories, engineering, warranty center, brand quality, field support, purchasing, and supply chain.
Occasional travel may be required

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
High level of interpersonal skills – Must be able to form relationships and collaborate across teams
Ability to lead a team to support organizational and technical objectives.
Capability of handling a variety of responsibilities simultaneously
Results driven individual with high levels of initiative, innovation, and productivity
High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or equivalent experience
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Previous leadership experience and program management skills
Solid understanding of vehicle systems
Experience and capability in Manufacturing Quality Systems, Quality Systems Planning (APQP), including PPAP
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Certification
