Job Description
The TA-YCS provides for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to the cottage and facilitates a healthy group living experience.
The TA-YCS participates in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Monday-Friday (following a school year calendar)
- 8:00AM start time, 3:00PM end time (8-hours)
- The pay ranges between $15-17 an hour, dependent on education and experience

Teacher Assistant's (Entry Level/Highschool Diploma or Equivalent)

Teacher's Assistant's/Paraprofessionals (with 60 Credit Hours)

Must have 60 credit hours to be eligible*
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with the teacher and Cottage Life Supervisor in day-to-day activities.
- Follow established classroom/cottage rules and ensure implementation of these rules.
- Assist the teacher in supervising and general safety of the children and youth and attend to their needs in a nurturing and engaging manner.
- Monitor social skills in cafeteria, on the playground, bathroom, and P.E. to promote healthy behaviors.
- Manage children and youth using safe crisis management without the need for therapeutic holds.
- Document and record the behavior of children to ensure positive outcomes to assist in a return of the child or youth to a less restrictive setting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Must be 21 years old to apply. Pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check required.
