Tax professional
Overview:
The Tax Professional will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns, providing tax advice, and assisting with tax planning strategies. They will work closely with internal teams, external auditors, and government agencies to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
Areas of Focus:
Tax Advisory:
- Provide tax advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on various tax matters.
- Assist with tax inquiries and audits, including preparing documentation and representing the organization before tax authorities.
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct tax research to stay current on tax laws, regulations, and rulings.
- Analyze complex tax issues and provide recommendations based on research findings.
Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with internal departments (finance, legal, etc.) to ensure alignment on tax matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors and tax authorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field .
- Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and principles.
- Experience with tax compliance and preparation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in accounting software preferably Proconnect, QBO and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: $17.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending upon experience
