Tax Preparer

Job Summary

At this time we're looking for an experienced income Tax Preparer, from mid-February through mid-April each year plus again from late August through mid-October. Hours are flexible to meet your schedule. Looking for approximately 20-hours per week, with an opportunity to work more hours during other times of the year doing tax planning and accounting work.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Preparation of complex individual and corporate tax returns
• Prepare complex tax returns for individuals and/or small businesses.
• Analysis of general ledger accounts and reconciliation of bank accounts, with appropriate client communication and action to resolve outstanding issues and items.
• Able to create and analyze Excel spreadsheets.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks

Minimum Qualifications

• Enrolled Agent or CPA (preferred)
• Experience with UltraTax and CS Accounting Products a plus
• 3-4 years of Tax Preparation Experience
• Basic knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel, QuickBooks or other accounting software
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Work independently and be able to multitask
• High attention to detail, ability to work well with others, and have "Can-do" outlook.
• Able to enter accurate financial /numerical data
• Analytical and critical problem-solving skills
• Ability to apply discretion, trust with confidential company information
