We are looking to hire someone who is a self-starter with experience in preparing taxes (Data Entry) and basic tax admin duties. A minimum of 2 years experience preparing taxes is required.
This person needs to have outstanding communication skills, the ability to pay attention to detail, and be open to learning. Organization is a must and able to meet deadlines set.
The tax specialist/prepare will have the following responsibilities (this is not an all inclusive list):
- Data Entry: Assisting in preparing tax returns for Individuals, S-Corp, C-Corp, LLC, Partnership, Non for Profit, Estate/Trust
- Knowledge of prepare 1040, 1120s, 1120, 1065 tax returns
- Experience with Drake (or similar products--willing to train on the software we utilize)
- Saving Tax Source Documents and labeling them a certain way.
- Ability to follow an already established process.
- Consult with tax clients
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
- Able to follow a set schedule and process
This position directly interacts with the tax clients, so you must be comfortable and confident in explaining tax rules/regulations to clients.
We are looking for an upbeat person who has an amazing personality! Must be professional, have outstanding phone etiquette, a forward thinker, good at problem solving, and the ambition to learn and grow with the company. Must be detailed oriented, positive, calm, not afraid to ask questions, and open to training/growth.
During training period: 40-50 hours a week
During the work week (Monday-Friday): 40-45 hours a week: available to work between 8:00am-6:00pm CST. Lunch may be taken up to one hour. If you are working from home, we can be flexible with hours worked as along as all deadlines are being met.
During Tax seasons: Mid to end January, you will be expected to work 50-55 hours per week. Tax season ends April 15.

This position is fully remote. We provide laptop, additional monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc for home-office set up.'
