Form of workCherry Bekaert's Alternative Investments practice provides Tax, Assurance and Advisory services to clients operating across an array of different investment sectors. We are seeking a knowledgeable Alternative InvestmentTax Manager to join our collaborative and talented group of experienced tax professionals.
As a Tax Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for successfully managing all aspects of the client service relationship and will strive to develop specific knowledge of the client’s business and industry
- Service Alternative Investment clients, but flex to work with clients of varying sizes and industries
- Manage the client’s tax compliance needs
- Anticipate tax and business issues, and recognize tax planning opportunities
- Train and develop less-experienced professional staff
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Tax or LLM is preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with at least 1 prior year of managerial experience
- Demonstrated background and understanding of investment partnership taxation
- Experience navigating complex tax compliance in the alternative investment space, including but not limited to private equity funds, hedge funds, fund of funds (FOF), mutual funds, and/or related management entities
- Advanced working knowledge of Subchapter K

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$142,513. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
