Tax Manager

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Tax Manager to join our reputable accounting firm. As a Tax Manager, you will lead our tax department, oversee tax compliance and planning efforts, and provide strategic tax advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the tax department, including tax compliance, planning, and consulting services.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize our clients' tax positions and minimize tax liabilities.
• Review and prepare complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Provide expert guidance and advice to clients on various tax matters, including tax planning, structuring transactions, and resolving tax issues.
• Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing exceptional client service.
• Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing training, guidance, and support to facilitate their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax accounting or related roles, with demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and planning.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Thomson Reuters UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Salary: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
