Tax Consultant

Alexa CPA Group is a full-service CPA firm located in Buffalo Grove, IL. With a client base of approximately 1,000 clients across 34 states and 12 countries, operating in 28 industries, the firm specializes in Accounting, Payroll, Sales Tax, Company Management, Business & Individual Taxes, Tax Resolutions, Consulting, and Audit. They provide comprehensive financial and tax-related services to assist clients in managing their finances, ensuring compliance, and achieving their business goals.

We are on the lookout for someone who:

• is CPA and has 10+ years of tax review experience.
• has knowledge on ins and outs of 8804/8805, 5471/72, 8938 forms
• has worked on partners' allocations, accrual reporting, foreign owners reporting requirements, tax mitigation strategies, M-3, K-3, 926, 3520, Back taxes, carryforwards, Stock Options, AMT
• has exposure on Multi-state income allocation, special allocations, business purchases, business sales, short-year allocations, tax positions documentation, trust returns, estate returns, UBTI, full 990 reporting, 501c3 status recoveries, multi-entity reporting, clients filing bankruptcies, foreign stock options, military, 1099-As, step-up basis, etc).

This role is a project-based need basis. As a consultant you are expected to work 4-5 hours a week on certain projects.

This role can be remote as well.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
