Tax Analyst

Market America, a Global Product Brokerage and Internet Marketing company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing, is seeking an experienced Tax Analyst for our Accounting Team.

Position Summary
Responsible for advance tax filings and compliance including Federal, State, GST, VAT, and withholding taxes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyzes all work papers to ensure accuracy and analyze all accounting and tax information to ensure compliance with all regulations
• Evaluates all work papers within timeframes and recommends improvements for same and prepare tax schedules for all income tax details
• Administers and ensures compliance to all monthly activities
• Responds to all queries associated with tax submissions and ensure compliance to all extensions and payments
• Performs research on various tax issues and maintains records of all transactions for business issues.
• Assists with external audits and tax notices through research and support documentation
• Prepares detailed work-papers supporting the VAT and International Tax Filings
• Works with 3rd party transaction tax compliance and local Country managers to ensure timely and accurate processing of transaction tax filings
• Reconciles Commission Tax Withholdings against reports for 1099 and CP-58
• Prepares tax related journal entries

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum 3-5 years in corporate income tax compliance, multi-state, preferably with diverse entity structure (consolidated tax return with foreign affiliates).

• Strong technical and Excel based skills
• Independently prioritize and perform multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines
• Above moderate levels of English speaking, writing, and reading comprehension; active listening; critical thinking; analytical, judgment; mathematics; and attention to detail and experience with working remotely with minimum supervision.
