Tax Analyst

Brief Description: The Tax Analyst is primarily responsible for all income tax-related functions, including the preparation of federal and state tax returns, income tax provision calculations, assistance with tax projects, and assistance with audits. This position will collaborate with many members of the SDI team, both within and outside the tax department. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Compile and review federal and state/local tax returns
• Prepare and reconcile income tax accruals reported in accordance with ASC740
• Comply with tax accounting controls and documentation requirements for Sarbanes Oxley
• Assist divisions with sales & use tax questions and needs
• Collaborate with various departments throughout the Company (including Treasury, Finance, Legal, and Operations) to ensure Tax has well informed view of the business developments
• Assist in timely handling of notices
• Maintain tax depreciation schedules for income tax and property tax filings
• Preparation of property tax returns
• Assist with other items as assigned

Experience/Requirements:

• 1 to 5 years of experience of tax or accounting experience
• BS in Finance, Accounting or equivalent required
• Microsoft Office Suite software with advanced Excel skills preferred
• Proactive desire to seek and implement process improvements
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task
• CPA or working towards certification preferred
• Systems experience with OneSource, OneStream, SAGE
