This position will report to the Indirect Tax Manager, North America and will work remotely. As a Tax Analyst, your primary responsibility includes working with internal and external partners to ensure indirect tax compliance and accounting obligations are completed.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY…

This position will report to the Indirect Tax Manager, North America and will work remotely. As a Tax Analyst, your primary responsibility includes working with internal and external partners to ensure indirect tax compliance and accounting obligations are completed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES…

  • Manage and ensure the preparation and data review of the transaction tax filings by the third-party vendor, including sales and use tax, personal property taxes, gross receipt taxes.

  • Monthly reconciliations of various tax accounts on the general ledger.

  • Act as a point of contact person for customer care groups to resolve billing inquiries related to sales/use tax issues.

  • Assist in managing indirect tax audits for the US and Canada.

  • Perform monthly use tax calculations and help review vendor invoices to identify any necessary use tax accruals.

  • Work directly with 3rd party consultants and internal parties to resolve indirect tax related issues, including but not limited to notices and business license matters

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS…

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Prior experience is a plus, but not required

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of Vertex tax software a plus

  • Ability to work independently to problem solve

  • Effective organization and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple deliverables.

  • Strong attention to details
