CoBank interns get real-life exposure to the daily duties of their group. They spend the summer as a valued member of their respective team, learning business skills and assisting with a variety of projects that have an impact on the bank’s operations. An additional focus of the summer intern will be to complete a capstone project that will seek to add value to the team they are supporting.
At CoBank, our Tax Intern assists in the preparation and filing of various tax documentation and execution of special projects. This intern will partner with associates in all areas of tax to ensure they receive a well-rounded introduction to corporate taxation. A typical project as a Tax Intern may include an opportunity to utilize tax research platforms to research, validate, and update reference documents while recording such information in a user-friendly manner and format.
This is a paid position for undergraduate and graduate students and is located in Denver, Colorado.
Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in and working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration & Management, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Ag Economics, or a related discipline and in good academic standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to utilize research tools and document findings.
- Aptitude for learning other software applications.
- Ability to perform research across multiple systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communications.
Compensation Information:
- Undergraduate student - $21.00
- Masters student - $25.00
