Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Conduct tax planning and research to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits
- Assist clients in resolving tax issues and responding to tax notices
- Provide guidance on tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Prepare financial statements and reports for clients
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with clients and provide recommendations for improving financial processes
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and regulations
- Proficient in financial report interpretation and analysis
- Experience in public accounting or a similar role
- Ability to reconcile general ledger accounts and identify discrepancies
- Knowledge of payroll processes and regulations
- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting techniques
- Understanding of corporate accounting practices and financial statement preparation
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage or similar programs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients
