About the Role:
This role is responsible for preparing tax statements and returns for businesses and individual clients. A Tax Accountant should have an in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and tax regulations, laws, and acts that govern this process. Candidates should pay exceptional attention to detail and have strong analytical and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax reports
Recognize complicated tax issues or errors
Identify gaps and recommend improvements
Make sure that clients comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities
Coordinate project and workload with supervisors
Meticulously document work
Job Qualifications
High school diploma
5 years plus tax experience preferred
Skills
Strong communication abilities via email and phone
Experienced with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Accounting CS, Ultra Tax CS, Excel
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Will train for any missing skills
