Task Lead - Web Programs Support & Governance

HighPoint professionals focus on helping government agencies implement their most critically strategic initiatives. The role of Task Lead - Web Programs Support & Governance contributes to HighPoint by providing support for the strategic direction and day-to-day activities needed to administer the governance, management, and continued funding of the agency's communications products and channels.

This opportunity is in the proposal stage and is contingent upon successful contract award.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to utilize federal and FAA user experience and user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Ability to use Adobe's Site Catalyst/Omniture to assess web metrics and SiteImprove to assess web analytics.
  • Knowledge of Adobe CQ5 and Adobe Enterprise Manager (MyFAA) and Drupal (FAA.gov).
  • An understanding of FAA's web standards and policies, including website and application templates and styles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the strategic plan to ensure all FAA websites and applications are aligned with the strategic goals of the overarching FAA corporate communications and public affairs programs.
  • Make recommendations on the strategic direction for the communications and outreach function of the program to ensure the communication of a consistent, compelling message.
  • Develop governance/project plans and related documents (such as communications plans, guidance documents, and wireframes) in support of legislative mandates, public emergencies, and related important events and Executive Branch initiatives.
  • Perform website content maintenance and improvement, analysis, information architecture, page layout and design, development, implementation, and documentation.
  • Conduct regular learning/refresher training sessions to review tips, tricks, and any updates to the CQ5, AEM, and Drupal content management systems (CMS).
  • Provide training to FAA content owners (application and content) in web content best practices, as requested.
  • Maintain and update training documents for both Adobe CQ5 and Adobe Enterprise Manager (MyFAA) and Drupal (FAA.gov).
  • Develop, document, and execute recommendations on all products delivered utilizing federal and FAA user experience as well as user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Continuously improve websites as measured by customer satisfaction surveys, through analysis of customer feedback, website analytics, website metrics, search engine reports, and other user data.
  • Assist the Project Manager with team goals, schedules, budgeting, and project management.

EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience with communication and training plans, guidance documents, and wireframes.
  • Experience with Adobe CQ5, Adobe Enterprise Manager, and Drupal.
  • Experience providing learning/refresher training sessions on web content.
  • Experience with user experience and user-centered design principles and best practices, including usability testing.
