Enterprise Architecture Task Lead

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Task Lead supporting Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), a typical day will include:
- Managing a small EA team in the development of artifacts that summarize or depict As-Is business, application, data, infrastructure, and security architectures, and facilitating the development of target architectures.
- Facilitating the development of an Enterprise Roadmap listing and describing the initiatives to be undertaken to achieve the target architectures
- Planning and facilitating the meetings and activities of the Enterprise Architecture Working Group (EAWG) and Solution Architecture Working Group (SAWG)
- Managing the development and maintenance of the Planview-based FERC Enterprise Architecture Management System (FEAMS) and Flexera Data Platform
- Developing and implementing strategies for making FEAMS a useful tool for IT planning and analysis, and easier/less costly to maintain
- Preparing for and managing the transition from Planview Enterprise Architecture to a new EA tool
- Preparing for and managing the integration of FEAMS with ServiceNow CMDB
- Working with FERC program office staff to develop the FERC business architecture and identify key organizational “pain points” and business requirements.
- Performing solution scans and working with senior solution architects to design and estimate the cost of technical solutions that satisfy the requirements of IT investment requests.
- Working with staff from FERC business units to document their business processes, measure process performance,
- Performing business case and impact analyses of proposed IT initiatives
- Performing post implementation analyses of completed IT initiatives and projects to determine whether they are providing the anticipated benefits
- Facilitating FERC staff in conducting “Fit-Gap” evaluations of proposed COTS solutions
- Preparing deliverable reports and briefings
Mandatory Qualifications:
- BA/BS and 10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of and experience implementing federal Enterprise Architecture concepts
- Knowledge and experience in areas of Federal budgeting and IT capital planning
- Process analysis and modeling experience using Visio or comparable tool
- Experience performing requirements analysis experience and conducting fit-gap evaluations.
- Familiarity and experience with at least one EA tool, such as Planview Enterprise Architecture, Mega HOPEX, or Avolution Abacus
- Familiarity with, or knowledge of key COTS product categories including ECM, BPM, CRM, ERP, ITSM, PPM, EGRC, etc.
- Strong communications and facilitation skills
- Customer service orientation
Desirable:
- MA/MS in Computer Science or Engineering
- Strong knowledge of information technology including infrastructure operations
- TOGAF certification
- PMP
- Systems development experience including COTS integration
