Job Description
We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as a Tank Wash Facility Manager who will be responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Tank Wash Facility. This will require a strategic thinker who can manage P&L, budgets, sales initiatives, and a diverse team of employees while excelling in quality service. All work will be performed in accordance with Company safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Tank Wash Facility, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and quality of service
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline workflows and improve overall business performance
- Lead, direct, manage, and coach a team of employees, provide guidance, support, and feedback
- Provide leadership and guidance to employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations; assign tasks, set performance goals, and evaluate individual and team performance
- Handle employee time sheets and requests for vacation or time off
- Manage budgets, closely monitoring financial performance against targets
- Analyze key financial metrics and implement strategies to maximize profitability
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to control expenses
- Provide recommendations regarding capital expenditure projects for the facility
- Analyze the quality and effectiveness of work performed
- Conduct regular team huddles, safety meetings, and facility audits
- Implement and monitor safety programs to minimize accidents; ensure a safe and environmentally compliant working environment
- Maintain facility, grounds, and equipment by arranging for regularly scheduled maintenance
- Monitor inventory of supplies and materials
- Maintain regulatory compliance reporting in accordance with federal / state agencies or local municipalities
- Maintain waste logs, prepare drums for and complete shipments of waste off-site
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Provide input into pricing strategies and service offerings
- Maintain open communication with team members and key stakeholders
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid state issued driver's license
- Three (3) or more years of experience leading and managing team members, operations, and P&L
- Five (5) or more years of industrial, tank cleaning, or similar work experience
- Microsoft Office experience
- Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage employees and develop business relationships
- Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Knowledge of safety regulations, confined spaces, permits, and best practices within the tank cleaning industry
- Exercise sound judgment based on company policies and regulatory legal regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend associated documents, Standard Operating Procedures, and SDS sheets
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures
- Ability to work other than scheduled times as necessary to meet deadlines or ensure that daily work is completed
- Ability to work in outdoor elements, unpleasant odors, exposure to fumes, and extreme weather conditions heat, cold, etc.
- Physical stamina required for position and the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
