Collins Engineers, Inc., a leader in the transportation, marine, construction, and land development industries, is looking for a Talent and Development Specialist to join our team in our Chicago office. The Talent and Development Specialist is responsible for delivering effective and innovative learning and development solutions designed to promote employee growth and mobility. This position will play an integral role in building relationships with our leaders to implement and execute Learning and Development strategies focused on organizational effectiveness, employee development and engagement. This position reports to the Senior Vice President-Human Resources.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the design and delivery of effective learning and development programs.
- Partner with internal leaders to understand talent development needs and develop solutions that support the organizational learning process.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and company leaders to design and deliver training and career development initiatives.
- Build relationships with internal subject matter experts and company leaders to advise on training and support learning and development programs.
- Curate external training materials and leverage external products when appropriate.
- Evaluate training, determine effectiveness, and recommend appropriate modifications as needed.
- Responsible for the coordination and delivery of learning solutions, including live training, webinars, and on-demand learning to support the growth needs of the organization.
- Create and update training content, curricula, and other learning solutions including presentations, job aids, videos, and eLearning.
- Coordinate career development program including development plans, check-ins, and career pathing.
- Serve as primary system administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS), responsible for all aspects of functionality, configuration, maintenance, implementation of new services, and enhancements.
- Administer, curate, schedule, assign learning, and run reports within the LMS.
- Track, report, and analyze training delivery and employee development data, training effectiveness, and learning outcomes.
- Stay informed on industry talent and development best practices to support continuous improvement and collaborate with the team to make recommendations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 5 plus years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office a must
- Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design methodology
- LMS administrator experience required.
- Previous experience with Paycom LMS a plus
- Knowledge of Human Resources processes and policies a plus
