JOB DESCRIPTION


The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Talent and Career Development team delivers best-in-class solutions for developing and retaining talent across the CIB. The team works with business leaders and Human Resources Business Advisors (HRBAs) to identify and deliver strategies and solutions that strengthen talent management, performance development, skills & leadership development and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across the CIB.

As a Talent Advisor on the CIB Talent and Career Development Experience team, you will execute talent management processes for aligned CIB businesses inclusive of promotion processes, succession planning and leadership development to deliver business impact. You will leverage talent development expertise as well as consulting, project management and analytical skills to advise business stakeholders on talent solutions.

This role will report into the London based Head of Talent Advisory for the Global Markets and Securities Services Businesses.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Closely partner with HR Business Advisors and business leaders to define strategic talent development objectives that support business priorities. Lead and drive these objectives in partnership with the Global Head of Talent Advisory for Markets & Securities Services, leveraging data and analytics.
  • Execute end-to-end delivery of annual talent processes (succession planning, promotion and performance development),
  • Support targeted strategies and development/advocacy programs to hire, develop and retain diverse talent. Build close relationships with DE&I partners to ensure our practices include the appropriate diversity lens.
  • Consult with HRBAs and business leaders, to diagnose people and organizational gaps and identify ongoing training and development needs for senior levels (VP+) within the business. Example includes leveraging the Employee Opinion Survey to analyze, diagnose and report on individual and organizational issues.
  • Design and facilitate development interventions for teams and individuals including senior level offsites utilizing available intact team resources and various assessments (e.g., Interpersonal Leadership Styles, Clifton Strengths, etc.)
  • Project manage global, cross line of business programs and processes (e.g. Employee Opinion Survey, manager training).
  • Coach individuals to improve performance, using a variety of tools such as MBTI, Hogan Development Survey and Interpersonal Leadership Styles and relevant coaching techniques.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Proven ability to build deep relationships both in and outside the HR function
  • Demonstrated analytical skills. Ability to build an in-depth understanding of a business and utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to identify issues and trends, develop solutions and/or recommendations to address root cause
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders to reach a mutually agreeable solution
  • Excellent project management and planning skills
  • Experience in designing and delivering development interventions
  • Strong facilitation skills and coaching skills
  • Knowledge of individual, team, manager and leader development techniques including coaching and feedback
  • 6+ years of experience in Human Resources required

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Human Resources Business Advisor experience preferred
