Lake Ridge Bank is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team! The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for assisting with Lake Ridge Bank’s recruitment and retention efforts. This includes recruiting for non-exempt associates, sourcing a talent pipeline, and maintaining external relationships to increase company outreach. In addition, this role will be actively engaged with our current associates and strive to offer ways to continually engage our talent at Lake Ridge Bank.
Talent Recruitment
- Assist with corporate wide recruitment for non-exempt roles. Screen and interview applicants for positions in keeping with company recruitment practices. Complete reference and other appropriate background checks. Along with the supervisor, recommend top candidates to the Chief Talent Officer.
- Work with Talent Officer to source candidates and increase employer brand awareness by attending job fairs and establishing community partnerships with local organizations, schools, groups, etc.
- In conjunction with the Talent Officer, develop external relationships with diversity and professional organizations, colleges and high schools to increase company outreach efforts and brand awareness.
- Provide timely follow up with applicants and make appropriate notations in ATS system.
- Compose and place advertisements for job postings, including but not limited to company website, local job centers, colleges, social media, etc.
- Assist in the development of job descriptions and maintain database for all positions in the bank.
- Maintain the ATS system and be one of the ‘experts’ in using that system.
- In conjunction with other members of the HR and L&D teams, coordinate onboarding for new hires.
- Provide administrative support throughout the entire recruitment process for Lake Ridge Bank.
Talent Engagement
- Assist with the Lake Ridge Bank programs/initiatives to help engage the bank’s talent.
- Assist with conducting new hire orientations
- Assist with company-wide initiatives/events and bank sponsored volunteer programs to help retain and grow our associates
- Assist with maintaining the HR Intranet/Share Point pages
Adhere to all Bank Security/Compliance Regulations
- Complete all annual bank security and compliance training
- Adhere to Bank Security guidelines for Human Resources area.
- Main confidentiality of customer/associate/applicant information at all times
- Stay current on all compliance regulations required for the role
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist other members of the HR team with projects/initiatives
- Participate in continuing education courses/seminars to further knowledge in field of HR.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communication, Public Administration, Psychology or similar field and/or 1-2 years previous work experience in a similar Human Resources position in a professional work setting.
- Strong understanding of employment laws relating to the hiring process. General knowledge of other employment laws pertinent to the job.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) in order to communicate with diverse group of associates, applicants and the general public
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently & accurately
- Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to make good decisions.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and remain calm while working in a fast paced driven environment
- Growth mindset with the flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new programs and software
- Willingness and ability to work after hours events, evenings, weekends as needed for applicants or for Lake Ridge Bank events or other events pertinent to the role.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English well and speak clearly.
- Ability to maintain confidential customer or bank information.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner.
This is a full time position with hours of 8am–5pm Monday-Friday with flexibility in scheduling needed at times. While the Waunakee office is preferred, we are open to this position working out of other offices. This role has the ability to work a hybrid schedule but much of the time will be onsite at our various locations.
