We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Table Games Supervisor - Hourly. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Table Games Supervisor oversees the operation of one or more Table Games on an assigned shift while placing special emphasis on guest service, enhancing the guest experience, and engaging in service recovery while enforcing Oaklawn's Core Values. Monitors team member performance, ensuring adherence to various regulations and Company policy; issues or recommends discipline or recognition as appropriate. Perpetuates team member motivation utilizing positive recognition and corrective coaching. In addition, ensures game integrity and provides security of departmental assets. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
  • Serve as a dynamic and energetic leader, while fostering teamwork, team member morale, motivation and open communication
  • Establish self as highly credible leader with highest levels of integrity, and always acts in the best interests of the property and the company
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of assigned team of dealers and daily pit staff to ensure they are adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations, the requirements of their job descriptions, and Company policy and procedures
  • Make and change assignments as business needs dictate based on assessment of the skill, experience, and temperament of dealers and other staff
  • Prepare and coordinate the periodical performance review of assigned personnel
  • Alert Casino Manager to potential safety or integrity issues
  • Display a working knowledge of all Table Games, house rules, counting methods and procedures covering each game in an assigned area
  • Remain alert to any unusual or questionable activities being displayed by any Table Games team member or gaming guest and escalates when appropriate
  • Change cards/dice
  • Open and close games
  • Verify fill slips, credit slips, and markers pertaining to games in the assigned area
  • Settle disputes that arise from guests in the Table Games area, referring those at a pre-determined threshold or a certain degree of difficulty to Table Games Manager
  • Ensure dealers are delivering the highest quality of guest service in accordance with Oaklawn's Core Values
  • Take ownership and accountability of all Table Games overseen, lead team to provide excellent gaming experience for guests
  • Handle and intervene when problems or differences between Table Games team members and gaming guests arise and provides assistance, problem resolution and service recovery, if necessary
  • Assure guest development by interacting with guests and modeling interactive skills with guests and fellow team members
  • Ensure that team members clearly understand and are held accountable for their performance expectations
  • Prepare and coordinate the periodical performance review of assigned personnel
  • Demonstrate excellent facilitator skills in resolving conflicts between different points of view
  • Manage labor, supplies and other expense items in a manner consistent with company strategy
  • Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions including but not limited to: interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, recognition, transfers and disciplinary actions
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all state and federal gaming laws, liquor laws and Table Games regulations
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
  • Oversees a variety of card games and ensures consistency and accuracy.
  • Maintains the security and integrity of assigned games at all times.
  • Participates in special casino promotions and creates excitement for those playing.
  • Ensures appearance of table and gaming supplies are maintained in a clean and functional manner.
  • Deals a variety of card games accurately when need arises.
  • Maintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests
  • Acts as an ambassador for OJC and delivers excellent guest service at all times
  • Responsible for all variances
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Ensure adherence to all CGS compliance, Title 31, CTR, SARC, MTL, and anti-Money Laundering requirements
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • Creates an atmosphere of fun for all guests
  • Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all team members, by setting positive examples at all times
  • Maintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests
  • Regular punctual attendance

  • Ability to make unbiased decisions logically with available information and facts. Contacts surveillance, security and/or casino floor manager for assistance where needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Two + years casino Table Games dealing experience
  • One-year supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge of major games required (Blackjack, Craps, Roulette or Baccarat)
  • High school diploma or GED required; college grad preferred
  • Must pass audition demonstrating proficiency in Table Games

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job will have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Provides coaching and counseling to team members.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arkansas CGS License.
