The Systems Engineer IIIActive Directory will manage and optimize core tooling systems and processes, including but not limited to Active Directory, Monitoring, Patching, Logging, Configuration Management, Document Management, and special projects. The Systems Engineer IIIActive Directory will own the overall health and maintenance of Active Directory and be responsible for architecture, implementation, configuration, support, maintenance, capacity planning, upgrades, and patching.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture and strategy for Active Directory and how it integrates into our identity management frameworks.
- Document current and proposed environments
- Lead medium-sized projects and initiatives
- Create processes, procedures, and documentation around all core processes that interact with AD.
- Create and present (RFCs) to the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
- Train and mentor internal IT resources
- Own and resolve escalations 24/7/365 (although the number of escalations is not high, availability is critical)
- Perform risk management to minimize system risks and unintended outages
- Anticipate the needs of the business and proactively update management on opportunities to optimize systems
- Measure performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
- Participate in on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Minimum 10 years of Windows AD and Server Administration
- 5 Years OKTA or comparable identity management platform experience
- Working knowledge of database technologies focused on MSSQL
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- 10 Years of Experience administrating Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, LDAP, and Kerberos
- 5 Years of Experience working with monitoring and patch management solutions
- Change Management processes and methodologies
- Experience creating architecture-level documentation
- 3 year Scripting experience with PowerShell
- Microsoft certifications are a big plus
- Technical background in data centers, Customer support a plus
