About the Role
The Systems Engineer will gain a thorough knowledge of the brand design, coordinate with external/internal teams, field technicians and help in deploying solutions and resolving/troubleshooting issues when required independently. The System Engineer will build, scale, and secure ESpace SDN infrastructure, focusing specifically on the Linux environment. The Systems Engineer will work with customer engineering teams to architect and implement SDN/AIOps technical solutions focused on moving things.
What You'll Do
- Work with aviation hardware providers
- Assist in the selection of hardware providers for future software solutions
- Receive hardware at the staging area.
- Install KVM, VMware ESXi, and ESpace proprietary software on servers.
- Preconfigure hardware based on the documentation provided.
- Build automation systems using DevOps tools to automate ESpace software deployment on fielded hardware.
- Manage and coordinate reception and shipment of hardware.
- Working from the ESpace staging office in Miramar daily
- May be required to work on the weekend as needed.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of experience with Systems Engineering/Administration, including experience in a distributed Linux-based environment.
- Experience with administering Linux servers, virtual machines, and networks using automated configuration management tools.
- Hands-on experience in routing and switching, security on vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto
- Working knowledge of SDWAN solutions, SDN-NFV domain
- Working knowledge of hypervisors like VMware ESXi, VSpehere, KVM, etc.
- Working experience with Cloud Computing Platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP
- Hands-on experience on x86 Servers, Blade Servers
- Understanding of Linux networking
- Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Linux OS
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Results-oriented, high-energy, and self-motivated
- Demonstrated ability to automate manual tasks with scripts and other tools.
- Aviation domain exposure and business knowledge with aviation servers, aircraft interface devices, and IFE/IFC servers and associated applications.
