Position: System Engineer

Location: Pennington, NJ /Atlanta, GA / Richmond, VA (Hybrid role)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:

• Leads and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Establishes input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system. Viewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. Will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects; will direct activities of teams related to special initiatives or operations and may have direct reports. Leads the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
• Job Description
• Systems Engineer is responsible for the design of the infrastructure systems for a portfolio of applications by matching current technology blueprints and standards with the business and application requirements. This includes defining and documenting the hardware, software, infrastructure components, modules, interfaces, scalability, and high availability solutions to meet specified application, business, and company requirements.

• Identify solutions and alternatives for keeping current and optimizing computer resources.
• Investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions required for design and support of various types of enterprise applications.
• Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
• Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
• Write and maintain system design drawings and system specific detailed documentation.
• 3rd level support for major incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for a portfolio of applications
• Supporting issues with deployments in the upstream and downstream environments
• Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications preferred or substantial equivalent experience. Typically 7-10 years of enterprise IT experience.Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years infrastructure related experience with very strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and application integration.
• Minimum of 2 years experience on RepliWeb, Arcserve Continuous Availability and Carbonite Availability replication tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Networking, Windows/Linux OS, Middleware, DMZ/Firewall, Local and Global load balancing expertise as it relates to midrange systems application integration and design.
• Strong knowledge on Windows IIS and Jira Align.
• Strong knowledge on CICD tools

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $61.86 - $73.41 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
