Student Business Services (SBS) seeks a Systems Analyst Senior to proactively provide direct support to the Director for University systems maintenance needs and SBS projects. This position will assist in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of business systems within Student Business Services to support University initiatives. The ideal candidate will also be expected to gain a strong understanding of departmental processes and the student experience to better communicate with functional level staff and outside departments to initiate improvements in system processes and workflow efficiencies.

A successful candidate, not presently employed within Financial Services, will be paid a signing bonus of $750 and a $1,250 bonus after completing six months of employment with the department.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field AND four (4) years experience providing information technology services; OR, Eight (8) years experience providing related information technology services, OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may substitute for up to six months of experience.

Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Required to stand/sit for varying lengths of time and travel moderate distances to perform work.
- Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.

- Experience in preparing detailed and complex reports using data warehouse/storage and retrieval systems such as Microsoft Access or another query software.
- Experience with Peoplesoft or other similar student information system(s).
- Experience in a university setting and/or familiarity with federal regulations pertaining to student information and tuition reporting requirements.
- Experience working directly with functional level staff and the ability to effectively and clearly communicate system processes.

Essential Duties
- Lead system-based projects regarding Peoplesoft system development, analysis, design, review and testing. This includes management of system upgrades and overseeing necessary testing by other Student Business Services staff to fulfill required deadlines.
- Establish and maintain effective communication within Student Business Services and other departments to prepare reporting utilizing university data warehouse tables and query resources
- Advise departmental staff on tools and resources that are available (or can be developed) to meet specific system and technology needs and challenges. Able to provide strategic guidance and recommendations.
- Work directly with University Technology staff and third party vendors staff to manage and maintain existing system integrations across multiple university platforms.
- Write and/or update detailed user documentation for Business Process Guides and operational applications, including data flow illustrations; coordinates and handles distribution of system documentation.
- Oversee and maintain various projects to meet audit requirements.
- Create and update project plans, monitor status including key deliverables and milestones, and provide status reports for upper management.
