As part of UPMC's Bridges Epic Transformational Project, this role is responsible for the development, configuration, and implementation of Epic's Dorothy and Comfort Home Health/Hospice applications, including an understanding of Epic Hospital Billing, Claims and Remittance and Contracts functionality, across a large academic healthcare organization. The analyst will participate in discussions with operational workgroups and collaborate with various IT teams to ensure standard build requirements are met, leading to effective end-user experiences and seamless integration between the Epic applications.
The Intermediate Systems Analyst provides experienced analytical services, including defining requirements, developing and/or maintaining computer applications and systems, and providing services to meet client IT and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Second and Third Level Support (Including Maintenance Activities)
- Independently triage and resolve level 1 and level 2 support issues.
- Escalate level 3 support issues accordingly.
- SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)
- Have an intermediate understanding of the application development life cycle.

- Application Upgrades and Implementation
- Review and validate the functionality of application upgrades and implementations.
- Report back on any problems. Identify new functionality and/or hardware requirements as assigned.

- Additionally, this position may be required to maintain standby status as part of a rotation within the team. This requires 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, of availability during the standby period. The frequency varies based on the number of colleagues in the rotation.
