Craig Technologies has an opening for a Systems Analyst Associate at Vandenberg Space Force Base, in CA. This position will be supporting functions within the Mission Systems group on the U.S. Air Force Space Command’s Space and Missile Systems Center’s Launch and Test Range System (LTRS) Integrated Support Contract (LISC).
Essential Functions The Network Controller (NC) is the subject matter expert (SME) for their assigned programs. The NC directly interfaces with government agencies and Range users to provide advice and information on range communications capabilities. Performs as the RGNext point of contact for communications during launch operations. Responsible for managing the range communications requirements for multiple launch programs. Responsible for creating the Network Implementation Plan (NIP) which describes voice communications, video, timing, telemetry, acquisition data, command status circuits and interfaces required to support launch and daily Range operations.
Required Skills Must be able to clearly express requirements and ideas verbally and in writing. Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Must have the ability to understand and provision digital voice switching systems. Must be able to follow set guidelines and standardized documentation procedures. Must be able to provide a technical interface to government, range users, managers, and supervisors. The knowledge of or ability to understand Vandenberg range topography, facilities, technical capabilities, and limitations of current communications networks, manpower and equipment.
Required Experience Associates Degree in related field 0-2 years related electronics experience Prior work and experience on Vandenberg Space Force Base desired but not required. Military or civilian technical control/network operations center experience or equivalent is desired but not required. An additional two years of applicable work experience may be substituted for each year of education not completed.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization. Valid U.S. Driver’s License
