General Dynamics Information Technology, a world leader in Defense IT Systems Integration and Services is seeking Systems Administrator Expert to join its Air Force (AF) Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Enterprise Product Support (EPS) team to provide modernization, integration and sustainment engineering, sustainment planning, systems/Software (SW)/baseline testing, integrated cyber security support, Enterprise Services Support (ESS), Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) support, cloud migration, and Hardware (HW)/SW installation and removal services for the integrated sustainment of the AF DCGS. This includes lab support for operational, production, and test environments. The required services shall be provided primarily at Robins AFB, GA; Beale AFB, CA; Hanscom AFB, MA; and JBLE, VA, Hawaii, Korea, and Germany.
However, support is also required at other locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and OCONUS. HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACTPerforms technical analyses, documents results, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations to determine the system’s effectiveness for possible improvementsProvides design and implementation services, upgrades, and/or enhancements to Active Directory forests and domains to provide authentication and authorization services for DCGS's organizational unitsReviews and enforces group policy, site replication; manages and maintains internal and external DNS; manages LDAPEnsures remote access to DCGS systems is maintained in accordance with current guidance and operational needsResearches, reviews, and validates raw data resident on the DCGS system databases for usability on the operational baseline and all future iterations of operational baselines for DCGS systems and applications. Provides systems configuration, administration, and operation support for the enterprise and performs systems backup.
Supports infrastructure and core services (such as Exchange, Active Directory, server and storage performance, virtualization, etc.). Supports hardware and software management; uses, monitors, and manages a software license repository, across the enterprise, for recording and tracking software licensing/support agreements.Uses the hardware to manage delivery of all required data center services, including the server and storage systems operations monitoring tools. Provides configuration management support in accordance with compliance and policies and procedures, using configuration management systems to record, track, monitor, and update component configurations and configuration items and changes and account for assets.
