System Integrator for Lunar Exploration Operations (supporting NASA/JSC in Houston)

KBR is seeking a System Integrator for Lunar Exploration Operations supporting the Health and Human Performance Contract at NASA/JSC in Houston for KBR's Science and Space division.
The purpose/function of this position is to perform system integration and mission integration for future NASA Lunar Exploration and lunar landing missions. Mission integration is performed as part of the System Engineering and Mission Integration work performed within the Moon to Mars (M2M) Program (formerly ACD and CESD). Tasks include performing integration across systems, developing and defining mission requirements, and mission integration products that support and enable lunar mission planning. The person will work at Johnson Space Center with a large team of System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) and Mission Integration personnel across multiple NASA centers in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities
- Interface and integrate with multiple M2M Programs to support, provide input to and assist in establishing mission integration plans and other products for Lunar destination and landing missions.
- Provide inputs to system engineering integration plans, team discussions and planning products to support future exploration plans within M2M Program.
- Assist in planning and coordination of personnel support to the System Engineering console for Artemis missions to ensure complete coverage for real time operations.
- Represent mission integration in multiple and various team meetings, analyses and discussions.
- Participate in review of change requests to products, with specific emphasis on applicability and consistency with mission integration products.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent applicable technical/science degree
Minimum of 3 years applicable experience
Experience in any or all of mission operations, mission integration, system integration
Experience in document development
DESIRED:
Experience with mission operations/real-time mission support
Experience in developing or integrating mission requirements and/or NASA-related system engineering products
Experience with M2M Program or associated programs and projects
SKILLS/TRAINING REQUIRED:
Self-motivated and proactive in integrating/communicating with others without a lot of hands-on direction. Ability to lead specific tasks when needed.
Ability to work within a team environment, where the team is distributed across multiple NASA centers.
Ability to perform cross-program integration with multiple people for various purposes in parallel.
Well-developed skills in both written and verbal communication and proficient in Microsoft Office tools
