We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse who believes their IV start skills are better than all their friends :-) Come join our team.
You will be responsible for administering medications to patients through peripheral IVs and occasionally accessing ports in the comfort of patient homes in your area.
Additional Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their response to treatments
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on medication administration
- Perform blood specimen collection processing as required
- Provide behavioral health support to patients as needed
- Utilize your extensive anatomy knowledge to ensure accurate placement of IV lines
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify any changes in condition or potential complications
- Provide emergency care in the event of adverse reactions or complications during infusion therapy
- Coordinate with durable medical equipment (DME) suppliers for necessary equipment and supplies
To excel in this role, at a minimum you should possess the following skills:
- Advance to expert peripheral IV access and port access
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Advanced to expert patient assessment skills
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) usage and maintenance
- Experience working in a community setting, particularly in client/patient home
