Answer and route calls using multiple telephone line system
Data entry of new patients demographic and third-party payer information.
Build and maintain providers schedules in the EMR. With guidance from Director of Clinical Information and Practice Manager.
Vision - ODHS preferred partner in East Central Indiana for improving the well-being of individuals and the communities in which they live:
Schedule appointments for new and returning patients for all health-related providers, excluding Family Planning and WIC.
Confirm with the patient the time of their appointments daily.
Reschedule patient appointments when the provider schedule changes.

Follow Medicaid and other insurance assignments when scheduling appointments.
Keep manager informed of potential scheduling problems.
Work within EMR, sending phone notes to nurses regarding patient issues.
Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy of protected health information.
Might have to travel to other location to support.
Other duties as assigned.

Typical Working Environment: Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substance, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to clinic environment. Tasks involve contact with blood or body substances.
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
Experience: Telephone and switchboard experience necessary. Medical office experience is a plus.
