Swing Shift Lead

Avalon International Aluminum is looking for motivated, punctual, and industrious individuals that are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced facility with a relaxed informal work environment where integrity and performance with a mix of good humor are paramount.

This is a long-term opportunity with advancements and some overtime available.

Manual labor consists of lifting and moving anywhere from 7'-16' aluminum extrusions (5 to 50 lbs./ part) so there is an importance of physical health to be suitable for this work. Reliability is also a key factor that we will be looking for as our team operates and thrives on dependability. The facility is not climate controlled and hearing and eye protection are required. This will be a (5) day work week Monday - Friday 1:00pm- 9:30pm

Job duties consist of but are not limited to the following:

Shift Lead will serve as the second in charge on the production floor for their perspective shift. You will work directly for the Production Manager and carry out daily production responsibilities given by the Production Manager.

Job duties will consist of but are not limited to the following:

• Implement and see through to completion the plan as directed by the Production Manager.
• Supervise the daily operations of our manufacturing facility
• Supervise staff and delegate tasks to floor leads and employees by establishing goals and directing all the activities that go into the production process
• Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
• Ensure workers and equipment meet performance and safety requirements, schedule maintenance as required
• Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
• Support workers as questions, concerns, or feedback arise
• Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications
• Training new production floor employees
• Moving or lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of leadership experience
• 2+ years of operations experience
