The Company

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company for the real world. Metropolis' computer vision platform enables people to transact in the physical world with even greater ease than we experience online. Today, we are reimagining parking. Because it's important, it's everywhere, and impacts everyone – enabling millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out" – that's it. Tomorrow, we will power "checkout-free" experiences anywhere you go.

The Role

Metropolis develops advanced computer vision and machine learning technology that makes mobile commerce remarkable. Our platform is deployed in hundreds of parking facilities and used by millions of customers, and we are building a digital platform through which the future of mobile commerce will move. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a strategic and visionary SVP of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and elevate our brand in the minds of both business and parking customers.

The SVP of Marketing will lead all aspects of Metropolis' marketing and communications efforts to drive the growth of our brand, products, and services. Reporting to the Chief Product & Experience Officer (CPEO) and partnering closely with the CEO, CRO, and executive team, you will design and execute the Metropolis B2B brand and GTM strategy including all aspects of our external voice and positioning, bringing it to life and measuring its impact across every touchpoint. This role will be charged with deepening and broadening a long-term connection with customers (Real Estate partners) to grow brand and product awareness that drives conversion of new sales and growth of existing relationships.

The role will be based in Seattle, Chicago, Nashville, New York, or LA and will coordinate with each of the regions and divisions to drive standards and best practices, balanced with market relevancy.

Responsibilities

· Marketing Leadership:

  • Partner with the CPEO, CRO, CEO, and Executive Team to influence and articulate the company vision and strategy to multiple constituents through internal and external marketing efforts and initiatives.
  • Design and align the marketing function to meet the needs of customers and business. Structure the team with the talent and skill sets required to grow existing and unlock new revenue streams and audiences.

· Brand Strategy & Positioning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy aligned with the company's vision and values.
  • Define and reinforce the brand positioning to establish a strong and differentiated market presence including creation of compelling, creative assets for campaigns.

· Product Marketing:

  • Deeply understand our customers and the way our products solve their problems, create unique value, and position Metropolis for success in the competitive marketplace.
  • Collaborate closely with the CPEO, CTO, and Executive team to develop product marketing strategies and messaging that showcase the unique features and benefits of our technology.

· Lead Generation and Sales Enablement:

  • Drive top-of-funnel strategies for organic growth by highlighting the strength of our products and platform with key audiences you help to define in close partnership with sales and revenue teams
  • Ensure that sales collateral effectively communicates the value proposition to target audiences.
  • Lead the transformation of the company's performance marketing and CRM capabilities, modernize the marketing tech stack, and improve integration with sales teams and processes.

· Lifecycle Marketing and Retention:

  • Bring strong analytical, big picture thinking and leadership skills to develop marketing campaigns aimed at increasing customer retention while driving Metropolis as key differentiator.
  • Define and own the customer engagement strategy that delivers the right message in the right channels, at the right time to nurture and achieve desired results. Drive constant experimentation and testing to ensure campaigns are measured and optimized at critical stages to ensure maximum impact. Define, track, and improve key metrics like CAC, Churn, Customer Satisfaction, and other KPI's you help define.
  • Design and execute marketing initiatives to promote end-parking customer engagement.

· PR and Media Relations:

  • Oversee public relations activities to enhance brand visibility and manage the company's public image.
  • Develop relationships with key media outlets and industry influencers to drive paid and earned media performance.

· Campaign Strategy and Performance:

  • Develop and execute paid media campaign strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Analyze and optimize campaign performance, utilizing data-driven insights to maximize ROI.

· Design & Creative Direction:

  • Define brand standards and manage internal creative teams, ensuring consistent, creative, engaging expressions across every customer touchpoint.
  • Collaborate with external creative agencies, providing guidance and feedback to ensure quality work while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with product teams to influence the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market trends · GTM Strategy & Innovation:
  • Work closely with relevant teams to influence the overall brand and company GTM strategy
  • Partner with relevant executive and internal teams to develop growth strategies, leveraging customer insights and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities to monetize data assets while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

· Customer & Market Insights:

  • Stay abreast of and publish insights on market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors to inform marketing and other strategies.
