THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Analyst, Sustainability, you will work with our Sustainability team to develop, implement, and improve our current program by capturing and analyzing data surrounding our existing practices. You are responsible for working with external partners such as waste brokers and landlords, along with a variety of internal departments, including Operations, Facilities, Marketing, and various other departments, to ensure effective rollouts and communications as we work to expand and improve our efforts.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Primary point of contact with waste broker and landlords to address all waste management issues, including account management, service issues, and establishing new services.
- Primary contact for our general sustainability email inbox, triaging all emails, responding on our team's behalf, and looping in others when necessary.
- Support waste management sustainability efforts such as tracking and calculating our overall diversion rate, resource development for restaurant training, and helping support both new and existing diversion programs.
- Support strategic initiatives to reduce waste, including researching alternative materials, driving innovative pilots, and monitoring regulatory actions.
- Support sustainability reporting, including writing content, development of metrics, and support of internal/external communications.
- Support data collection and calculation for environmental inventories.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- B.A./B.S. in a environmental sustainability, accounting, communication, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 year's experience in a sustainability related field with preference for customer service or operational/facilities management roles.
- USGBC: LEED Green Associate preferred
- Possess strong data and analytic skills, familiar with Smartsheet, Service Channel. and an advanced Excel user.
- Provide leadership in developing, implementing, and managing sustainability strategies, demonstrating problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Be self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team environment, building successful working relationships through effective communication.
- Be a responsible, and dependable self-starter, able to manage multiple tasks and take on additional responsibilities with a positive attitude.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $66,000 to $90,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
