Are you a highly skilled Sushi Chef with a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes? Do you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? If so, we have an immediate opening for a talented Sushi Chef at Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge.
Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge is a rare chef-driven, sophisticated steakhouse and bar with locations in Old Town Scottsdale, Gilbert’s Best Steakhouse in SanTan Village, and the premier steakhouse in the west valley in Peoria at 83rd and Happy Valley Road. Our innovative menu, unique culinary experience, and chic high-energy atmosphere make us true industry originators and Scottsdale’s Best Steakhouse. We are a welcomed respite from the typical chain steak restaurants. From the chef procured wet and dry-aged cuts of beef, lamb, and pork, both on the bone and off, to fresh seafood, appetizers, signature side dishes, and desserts, we utilize the finest ingredients, combined in uniquely delicious ways. Our inventive approach ensures an outstanding dining experience, with options like grilled octopus, Wagyu beef on a hot rock, lobster mac & cheese, and house-made decadent desserts. We stay true to our philosophy of serving.
Sushi Chef Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepares raw fish in an appropriate manner
- Slices ingredients into perfect strips
- Makes sushi rice with perfect form and consistency
- Manages storage of fruits, vegetables, and meat such as crab, eel, salmon, and tuna
- Monitors inventory of supplies
- Handles restocking of ingredients
- Ensures adherence to highest quality food preparation and hygiene standards
Sushi Chef Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of culinary experience
- Certification from American Culinary Federation desired
- In-depth knowledge of food safety requirements for restaurants
- Able to stand for extended hours
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
