Job Description
Reybold is a growing Construction and Property Managment Company located in Bear, DE actively seeking a Construction Surveyor for our Construction Site Ops Department. This is a full time Land Layout position is required to be on site everyday while being primarily responsible for Site Construction layout and survey for various residential, commercial, municipal and industrial projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all construction data collection and survey/layout calculations.
- Setup of all layout point files.
- Establish on-site survey controls (localization of site).
- Setup of GPS Dozers (creating control, linework and surface files).
- Verifying the accuracy of surveyed data.
- Comparing and analyzing CAD files and/or drawings to construction site and building plans for conformity
- Field engineering when issues arise.
- Must be able to work independently and remotely under various conditions.
- Must possess great time management skills to balance needs of multiple sites at once.
- Meet with management team to define project needs and requirements.
- Analyzing situations to perform work accurately, efficiently, and safely.
- Preparing technical reports and correspondences
- Maintaining all assigned equipment and vehicles in first class operating condition
Additional Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining databases and field logs
- Performing job material takeoffs/cut-fill analysis
- Create “as-builts” of completed work
- Overtime is required to respond to emergency calls and to handle increased work loads
- Keeping up to date on technology as it relates to the field
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Complete understanding and ability to perform civil construction layout, GPS, and survey.
- Complete understanding of civil construction drawings.
- 3-5 years experience as a crew leader/party chief
- Software: AutoCAD, AGTEK, Trimble, Topcon, Civil3D, MS Office
- PLS is a plus
- Associates degree in civil engineering, CAD or equivelent
- Valid standard Drivers License
- Deep understanding of GPS system is required

- Strong analytical, math, computer, and communication skills
- Must be reliable and possess excellent communication skills, primarily with Site Construction team, contractors, engineering firms and owners.
Physical Demands
- Physically demanding and challenging
- Ability to walk, bend, move, climb, and lift
- Ability to exert force to move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to use movements to operate heavy equipment
- Vision requirements include near and distance vision
Work Environment
Majority of work is performed outside with exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Noise Level is very Loud.
