What your job will be like:
The Research and Technology Partnerships Office at Jefferson Lab helps our staff move their innovations from the lab to the market. As our Graduate Student Research Assistant, you will support the research and technology partnerships efforts by performing work in a laboratory, field area, computer station, or other such activities that aid the department's research effort. Research Assistants will assist principal investigators (PIs) in the collection and evaluation of research data and other projects as assigned.
In this role you will:
Assist in conducting market and industry research including surveying, phone and in-person interviews, data collection and compilation.
Perform Customer Discovery interviews to industry contacts in all levels of management, including senior leadership and executives/officers.
Take detailed notes during interviews, workshops, and meetings, and perform other duties as a scribe.
Prepare data and information for projects using the appropriate software.
Write content for reports that synthesize prepared data with strategic input to form concise and compelling recommendations.
As a currently enrolled Graduate Student, will work 15-20 hours per week during regular work hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Limited travel will be required.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications We Require:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Communications, or a STEM / Science Degree
Must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
Self-motivation and a high level of responsibility to complete tasks in a timely manner and make significant progress without direct supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Developed research skills
Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint), internet research skills
Handle confidential and proprietary information with integrity and in accordance with all requirements and trainings for the protection of controlled unclassified information
