We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician Or medical assistant with surgery tech experinece to join our team at Healthcare Now. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting the doctor during adult/newborn circumcisions. As our doctor attends to patients as a family physican while not in procedures this position would assist as a medical assitant when not in surgery. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being of patients and work in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare procedure room for , ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Assist doctor by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with data collection as needed
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) strongly preferred
- Previous experience working as a Surgical Technician in a hospital or surgical center setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficient in sterile techniques and infection control practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations
Skills:
- Proficient in vital sign monitoring and analysis
- Knowledge of various surgical procedures across different specialties
- Ability to suture under the guidance of the doctor
