At North Mississippi Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, our core belief is putting the patient’s needs first, and it underlies every aspect of our practice. The ideal candidate for the Surgical Technician position should possess a natural inclination towards providing compassionate care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and accompany patients for treatment to ensuring their comfort
- Escort patients to recovery rooms
- Sterilize, maintain, and organize instruments and prepare treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols
- Provide and pass instruments and materials as needed during surgical cases
- Cleaning & sterilizing exam and surgery rooms
- Enter and complete patient chart notes and documentation
- Other duties as needed
Position Requirements:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- Dental Assistant experience, OR Surgical Tech experience, or Dental Certificate is necessary
- Dental radiology certification is desired
