A busy Neurosurgery Practice looking for a Surgical Scheduler/Coordinator with experience in scheduling surgical procedures and coordinating with multiple facilities.
- Keep patient records
- Surgical scheduling
- Verifying surgical codes and obtaining authorizations
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Manage patient pre-op responsibilities, and generate all necessary paperwork
- Provide patients information; explanations of treatment plans, post-operative instructions
- Answer telephone calls, return patient messages in a timely fashion
- Obtain reporting for surgical procedures
- data entry
- assist physician or extenders if needed
- Schedule post-op appointments
- Go over patient responsibilities with patient and collect surgery deposits
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments
- Commitment to providing quality patient care
- At least two years experience
- Must be able to travel to all three locations
