We are looking for someone with a positive attitude that is willing to go above and beyond to provide patients with the best possible care! This is an entry level position for an individual who is passionate about the medical profession. We are willing to train the right applicant. As a Surgical Assistant, the individual must be willing to work at a fast pace in an ever-changing work environment, and should be comfortable working with both doctors and patients. The position requires a willingness to learn and adapt, the ability to work well with others, and a good work ethic. Surgical Assistants are responsible for helping surgeons before, during and after operations, and so they must possess exceptional organizational skills as well as precision and speed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Setting up and taking down operatory rooms accordingly.
- Perform tasks related to surgery and/or anesthesia that may include preparing the patient for surgery; assisting the surgeon; and handling clinical post operative care.
- Perform basic nursing duties for patients such as monitoring vital signs, holding the patient's airway, ordering prescriptions, and charting.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace including proper sterilization of instruments and operatory rooms.
- Willingness to assist front office by answering phone calls and scheduling patients.
We have doctors in the office Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and need someone who is available from 7:30-5:00. We work with many patients who speak Spanish, so Spanish speaking applicants are greatly appreciated. We look forward to hearing from you!

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
