The Surgical Recovery Assistant is a great role to help you get started in your organ transplant career. The SRA works with experienced Surgical Recovery team members to recover and transport organs for transplant. The SRA provides important support to the surgical team, assisting with various tasks such as obtaining biopsies and monitoring organ preservation machines. You play a critical role in ensuring donated organs are made available for the designated recipients. Skilled SRA's will have increasing opportunities for additional roles and responsibilities in the organization.
Successful candidates should have a strong interest and background in the medical field. They should also have solid critical thinking skills, and the ability to problem-solve. - This is a full-time, expected 40-hour/week position. A generous shift differential is added for work outside of normal business hours.
- Hours may vary but will primarily consist of evening 3-11 shifts.
- There is an on-call expectation of up to 24 hours per week (worked call hours apply to your 40 expected). DonorConnect provides a generous On-Call pay for these call shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Self-directed and independent critical-thinker with the ability to plan and make independent decisions.

Education:
- High School Diploma required.
- Healthcare certification preferred, such as EMT, CNA, CST, or similar.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
Required Knowledge:
- General knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- General computer competency, with some experience in basic office and business applications.
- Knowledge of organ and tissue transplant field preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience, MA, EMS, CNA, lab aide, operating room, etc.
