Job Summary and Qualifications

In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, the Service Line Specific Surgery Supervisor supports the management of a defined patient care area to provide a climate optimal for the provision of individualized, goal directed nursing care that supports the mission, vision, values of Medical City Sachse and the philosophy of the Nursing Department and promotes, advocates for and supports the nursing staff’s primary commitment to protect the health, safety, and rights of the individual, family or community. The Service Line Specific Surgery Supervisor is accountable for their practice and care coordination. The Service Line Specific Surgery Supervisor is expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence based practices.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse licensed in Texas or compact
• Bachelors Degree; MSN preferred
• 2 years hospital nursing experience in area of clinical specialty
  
• Supervisory experience in acute care
