Job Summary
The Surety Account Manager is responsible for working with Surety Account Executives and team to execute bid, performance, payments and other bonds. The Surety Account Manager also creates and maintains relationships with all surety clients and underwriters, services and invoices their contract and miscellaneous needs, and obtains current financial and other pertinent information for the surety company.
Salary Range: $55,000 to $ 70,000

Responsibilities- Assists all producers by executing all bid, performance, payment, and miscellaneous bonds in a timely manner which is consistent with state and federal law, company policies and procedures.
- Mails all executed bonds to clients via UPS or the USPS.
- Scans and mails bonds to clients and owners where the electronic format is acceptable.
- Electronically files all bid, performance and miscellaneous surety bonds.
- Manages renewal of all miscellaneous surety bonds and specialty contract surety bonds.
- Invoices all bonds. Assists the accounting department in the collection of premiums that remain unpaid for more than 90 days.
- Electronically files financial year-end statements, interim statements, tax returns, bank lines of credit, insurance certificates, and personal financial statements for owners.
- As directed by the producer or management, requests all financial information and information pertaining to financial year end statements, interim statements, bank lines of credit.
- Updates and maintains the Invoice Reconciliation Sheet.
- Sets up electronic files for newly established clients, including all contact information, surety information and bond rates and commission.
- Reports all bonds and invoices to each surety per their individually prescribed procedures.
- Monitors, records and assigns all incoming leads to producers per established policy.
- Handles all general correspondence and maintain a working relationship with clients and underwriters.
- Assists in the preparation and execution of indemnity agreements.
- Works with producers to develop company-wide surety procedures and establish practical surety policies.
- Follows company procedures with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities of the job.
- Provides sales support at the direction of the Producer. This includes assisting in selling and marketing in coordination with all Agency personnel involved in new or existing business.
- Become familiar with Surety company guidelines and the use of Agency Lines of Credit.
- Participate in all required training and educational programs as required by management.
- Assist in the training and development of new hires at the direction of management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel is expected to 5% in this role.
- Three years of related Bond experience
- College Degree Preferred
- Erlon Experience Preferred
- Applied EPIC experience preferred
- Property and Casualty License required
- Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Agency Management Software
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
