OPTIONS Family of Services, a local non-profit organization, strives to help people with intellectual disabilities meet their wants and desires as citizens within their community. We serve 200 people from Paso Robles to Santa Maria. Daily, we improve the lives of those we serve.
We are currently looking for a supervisor for our Supported Living Program in Morro Bay. The supervisor works in conjunction with 2 other supervisors. These 3 positions oversee a department of 60+ persons receiving services and 15 - 20 Community Support Specialists. Each Community Support Specialist has a caseload of individuals that they provide support to on an individual basis. Some individuals live independently, some live with a roommate or partner and some live with their families. Individuals receive a varying amount of hours of support from 3-40 hours per week.
The supervisor is responsible for :
- ensuring persons served rights are protected;
- assist with education and support in the use of community resources;
- ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, including staffing patterns and staff training;
- coordinating and writing Individual Service Plans and quarterly summaries/reports;
- annual review of all persons served consent forms, rights and their files;
- maintains accurate and current records on training, supports, hours needed, integration levels, and Individual Service Plans;
- facilitating staff meetings and clinical meetings;
- ensuring adequate staff are available and scheduled;
- creating of programs to address individual needs of persons served by providing input and feedback with regard to the progress of persons served;
- review progress notes;
- ensure accurate billing;
- overseeing payroll;
- supervising staff, providing staff training and feedback
- on-call duties every 8-10 weeks.
Supervisors also work directly assisting persons served in following their daily activity schedule including: household meal preparation, maintaining sanitary and orderly conditions in their home, other household tasks, and transporting individuals as necessary.
Supervisors generally work Monday-Friday 8a-5p, however, other days and hours may be needed to train staff, etc.
OPTIONS offers a full benefit package (medical/dental/vision) as well as 16 days of PTO annually.
The starting rate for this position is $25.01 per hour. The higher end of the range is for employees who have been in the position for several years.
