Job Title: Support Services Coordinator
Job Description:
Forestry, Fire, & State Lands is seeking an energetic, organized, and motivated individual ready to take an active role as part of our FFSL team. The person who fills this position will support our Forestry, Fire, and Sovereign Lands programs by being knowledgeable about our program offerings to the public and completing tasks to keep the office and field work running smoothly.
Principal Duties:
As a Support Services Coordinator, you will:
- Provide office coverage M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM in our Salt Lake City Office.
- Field calls from the public seeking information about our programs.
- Purchase supplies for the office and various tools for program needs, and utility contracts.
- Schedule and offer Tech support for conference room meetings.
- Process incoming mail, invoices, and payments.
- Assist with keeping data up to date for our website.
- Keep organized and accessible the permanent records for programs.
- Proof Grants.
- Process travel reimbursements.
- Assist with compiling public outreach content.
- Take on various special projects as needed to support programs.
- Positivity in the workplace.
- Exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
- The ability to express themselves professionally verbally and in writing.
- An understanding of purchasing and travel rules.
- Basic creative and technical writing skills.
- The time management skills to work with several program managers.

- Be a positive upbeat problem solver.
- The ability to listen and understand information and ideas through spoken and written communication.
- The ability to communicate effectively verbally as well as through professional writing such as email, letters, digital formats, proof read grants, informative fliers and basic web content under the supervision of program managers.
- Familiar with and able to use Google functions, and Photoshop.
- Notary.
- Records officer training.
- Knowledge of State Purchasing and Travel rules.
- Able to trouble shoot issues with Google Meets, Zoom, and Teams AV platforms.
- Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
- Potential for instate travel to satellite offices within the state.
- Optional potential to get Wildland Fire qualifications to go out on occasional fire assignments.
