Assist and provide support to the warehouse manager and act as a warehouse manager in their absence. Maintains motor pool by maintaining vehicle records, scheduling required inspections, and service needs. Maintains departmental tool crib. Make repairs to furniture and appliances.
Maintains safety requirements for aerial lifts, scaffolding, and ladders.
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY.

Key Responsibility:Warehouse Support
Essential Tasks:- Assist in purchasing inventory
- Stock and assist in maintaining parts inventory levels
- Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse
- Implement new storage scenarios as needed
- Provide backup resources to access and input data in the electronic inventory management system
- Maintains MSDS sheets for all materials either stored or issued for use
- Ensures all chemical storage is in compliance per UNCG EHS guidelines
Motor Fleet Management
Essential Tasks:- Maintains maintenance records for all departmental vehicles
- Schedules service and repairs with outside vendors
- Schedules planned maintenance activities for all fleet vehicles
- Submits vehicle purchase requests
Small Equipment Maintenance
Essential Tasks:- Maintain small equipment inventory
- Service and repair small equipment such as leaf blowers, snow removal equipment, housekeeping equipment, pressure washers, etc.
- Submits small equipment purchase requests
Maintain Tool Crib
Essential Tasks:- Receives tool requests and issues power tools
- Maintains power tools in safe working order
- Conduct ladder inspections per UNCG EHS guidelines
- Inspects and maintains aerial lifts per UNCG EHS guidelines
- Inspects and maintains scaffolding systems per UNCG EHS guidelines
- Makes purchase requests for replacement tools
Furniture and appliance repairs
Essential Tasks:- Repairs damaged bed ends
- Make repairs to task chairs
- Reports items damaged beyond repair for replacement
- Maintains furniture parts inventory
