Job Description:

As a member of the Program Management team, the Program Manager will serve as a key member of the Program Management Office (PMO) engaged in the oversight, monitoring, reporting and coordination of an unparalleled transformation of the Distribution Network for the US Postal Service. The Program Manager will interface with various workstream owners within the USPS, consolidate multiple project plans, and report to leadership on overall project progress.

  • Have a passion for interfacing with workstream owners and team members to monitor project/program progress, RACI transitions, implementation issues and associated plans for resolution to expedite closure of project/program related blockers.
  • Have an interest in developing software-based tools to collect and consolidate project related updates from multiple USPS workstream owners to monitor multiple project sites simultaneously. Mastery of various Microsoft tools including by not limited to Power BI (Power Automate & Power Automate Flow), Project, Project Online, Teams, MS Office, etc. is required.
  • Prepare presentation materials and attend meetings covering program/project progress, risk and implementation plans.
  • Implement program to monitor multiple Project Milestone Schedules to identify changes (scope and duration) to original plans.
  • Generate program level health trendlines for reporting to Executive Leadership Team at USPS.
  • Compile and archive project and program information to support financial audit requirements.
  • Report on project related issues that impact achievement of financial savings projections.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, Supply Chain management/logistics, or related field.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or other project management credentials are preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience with managing Supply Chain projects with focus on asset implementation or facility design.

  • The position is located in Washington, DC, and will be 100% on-site.
