The Job at a Glance
The Product Image Specialist (internally known as Parts Paparazzi), is primarily responsible for photographing products utilizing our 360° PartSPIN® technology, uploading images to the Parts Town website, and maintaining our growing database of PartSPIN® Product Images. Working within the Product Data department as part of a close-knit team, the Product Image Specialist responsibilities will also include project work including adding, updating, and collecting product information, images, digital media, and categorization data that supports the unique search functionality of the Parts Town website, mobile app, and mobile-optimized website as well as improves our SEO positioning.
A Typical Day
- Utilize PartSPIN® technology to shoot product photos for all in stock parts
- Manage the entire end-to-end photography process from picking the product out of inventory, shooting the image, returning product to its inventory location, and uploading images to the Parts Town website
- Maintain the existing PartSPIN® database removing and reshooting any erroneous images found on the website
- Analyze and update data on a daily basis in regards to product attributes such as description, product replacement or obsolescence, weights and dimensions, product category, and more
- Project work including collecting product data for important customer and manufacturer partnership opportunities
To Land This Opportunity
- While no previous photography experience is required, you have a proven track record for success and willingness to go the extra mile
- You enjoy working with photography and bonus points if you have used image editing softwares such as SpinMe, and Sirv
- You have a lift pick certification or strong desire to go through lift pick training
- Able and willing to lift products weighing up to 80lbs
- You are results-oriented and pay close attention to details
- You possess basic knowledge of Excel and vendor management
- You are familiar with products in a distribution center environment
- You’re an all-star communicator and are fluent in English (both written and verbal)
