JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for managing the daily distribution and inventory operations at the UVM Medical Center main campus in Burlington and Holly Court Service Center in Williston. Oversees the order tracking process and ensures orders are processed in accordance with Supply Chain service's customer service standards. Develops, tracks and enforces productivity standards. Ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Position involves the supervision, continuous development, and training of Supply Chain personnel. Incumbent coordinates transportation between organizational sites as well as to network affiliates via internal and contract couriers and LTL carriers. Prepares annual budgets and ensures that all financial objectives are met.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
EXPERIENCE:
Five years of demonstrated supervisory experience, preferably in a health care related field. Two years' work experience in distribution and inventory control.
